We have a 2-drain, undermount sink that we're looking to replace with a single-drain. The countertop is quartz, and I'm wanting simply to replace without any adjustment of the cut-out of the countertop. Many of the sinks I'm finding have dimensions that are close, but not perfect to the cutout.

My question(s) is(are): is it unsightly if the width/length of the sink is slight less than the width/length of the cutout of the countertop? Is this common? Bad idea? Or is it simply something that is up to the homeowner's preference (neither good or bad, just an appearance preference)?

The reason I'm asking is that I'm finding quite a few sinks that are just slightly shorter than the cutout and, aside from the small measurement discrepancy, it would be a rather easy replacement.
