The cabinets will be on legs so carefully lift them into place I never quite understand the legs on kitchen cabinets so nt a fan. As for the appliances all you can do is have something on top of the floor that can be removed when they are in place like cardboard for instance.

Boy, maybe you could make the installation more difficult. Slate typically is not smooth so your cabinet legs may need adjustment in height. I know you can do that with the plastic legs, but not sure about metal legs. You will have appliances that go to the floor but not cabinets. That floor better be so very level before any flooring or cabinets are installed.

Thanks @BeverlyFLADeziner It's in an apartment building so, chances are, the floor is level. But will definitely mention to my contractor and discuss beforehand. This is, also, making me think it might be easier to go the toetick route.

I wouldn't do cabinets on legs because of the extra work of having to clean under there.

Don't count on it. They also do not necessarily need to be level but flat to within 1/8" over 10'.
