The furniture feels a little matchy-matchy as it currently stands, IMO. If you're keeping the bed, I'd opt for painted, more transitional bedside tables that provide a colorful punch.

PIck up one of the accent colors to be the paint color for the bedside tables. Maine Cottage has great options for painted nightstands and they have a program where for an upcharge you can match any Benjamin Moore color.

Similarly, Oomph has great options, but they are more upscale with prices to match. I LOVE their bedside chests with tassle pulls on the drawers.

Start there, then you can decide if you wish to keep or replace the armoire.

I had some of my window treatments done by JCPenney Custom Decorating, and I was very happy with them.

If you were to change everything possible on the nightstand... chalk paint a light Florida color [?] how would that seem? course that can wait since you have it already..

You want to keep the headboard? Are you willing to paint it? I'd paint it black if you are keeping it. I prefer a white comforter/bedspread. That way you can dress it up or down with pillows and a throw. Here is one from Country Store. They seem to have good quality products. I love their sheets. IMO, your bed is not rustic at all. It has more of a french feeling to it, as does the nightstand. Keeping it limits your choices. I prefer plain bedding in light colors. Bedrooms imo should be restful and relaxing with no jarring bold colors in the fixed pieces. I prefer pale blues and greens with whites/creams.

I post metal finishes, cause imo can determine how much pattern for rest of room / or bright color might not be work with this sheen:

Your furniture is French inspired. I think I would keep the bed in its entirety. If you only keep the headboard you'll have an ugly metal base frame underneath to try and hide from view. Here's a pretty inspiration pic for your colorway with a touch of blue.

Well, I love Serena and Lily - However, with your french inspired bed I think I'd keep the bedding in the same white/ivory tone as the bed itself. Then I'd add the pops of soft blue with pillows, a throw, maybe lamps.

Thisclassic ivory linen would be a good match with the bed. Question about coverlet/throw and pillows. Should I get the ivory shams or light blue?

What fabric goes with linen? Can I use velvet pillows? Is it too formal with the linen?

@gardener123 - I alway get my shams to match my duvet. Currently I have a linen duvet cover, linen shams, and a cotton matelasse . I usually have the matelasse pulled up and the duvet is usually folded at the end of the bed. Then I have my decorative throw pillows and a throw in a color. Currently mine is light blue. I guess you could use velvet pillows, but I usually use something less heavy for a bedroom. Mine look something like the link below from Serena and Lily. I got mine a while ago from Pottery Barn so the price wasn't as steep, but the look is very similar. Here are a few of mine ... keeping it sort of light/coastal/airy, soothing/neutral, transitional, using that awesome Anthropologie chest. You could bring in deeper colors, if desired, with art, pillows, etc. Or, paint the walls.
