Bathroom Design Help

Hi Everyone, I'm looking to fully renovate the bathroom pictured and with so many tile designs I'm lost on what direction to go. If you all could post any ideas with a bathroom that has the same layout it would be HIGHLY appreciated! I'm looking for neutral colors. Thanks!

Start with telling us your style? What do you like? What does the rest of the home look like?

You can find all kinds of examples on this site, as this is a very standard layout. YOU need to determine what style you want based on the rest of the home, and then go from there. You want the remodeled bath to fit with the rest of your spaces.

Except for it being dirty, needing a new vanity/sink, shower doors, and possibly a new toilet, you have the makings of a classic. Lowe's has some bi-fold shower doors that I like.

there is nothing classic about that tile. it was prob redone w/cheap look alike, wanna-be classic tile, sometime in the 80's.

    it's hideous.

James, give us an idea of the budget.

Will you be doing any of the work or hiring a GC?

you have a builder basic guest bath w/room for a one sink vanity, toilet, bath/shower combo.

Is this the only bath in the house? would you want to take out the tub and make it a larger shower?

neutral colors is fine, but what style? classic? modern? modern farmhouse? mid century? transitional?

demo everything and see if there is any water damage around the tub. replace if needed.

get a nice new tub (if keeping) and tile around it. (the tub will have a flange)

    get a newer, better vent.

years ago when we bough an investment prop (we rent it out currently), nothing had been done to it since 1980

    Beauty, eh? lol

this was 2013, so styles have changed. But being that we were on a budget, we did everything ourselves. total cost was $3200. Man, did I know how to find bargains! That's all carrara marble too. took out the tub, as you can see. took me a week to do all the tiling, but I finished! (I look at it now and think, "what was I thinking w/all that tile?" )

( they actually featured this bathroom on the show "I hate My Bath" ! everything I bought was a bargain. (I made the vanity from a 1950's dresser chest)

I know you don't have a window, so ignore that, but here's another one w/similar layout and no tub

    keeping the tub?

This one is pretty inexpensive as far as materials go

    here's that modern farmhouse look

    and more mid century modern.

i love this one too. this was a vintage dresser converted to a vanity. wood paneled ceiling. white tile, and walls. wall mounted faucet ( easier for cleaning and gives more countertop space. if you can swing it, do that)

this one is also neutral w/the new tub, white tile, wood vanity, but a bolder tile floor

I'd call this transitional. you could do a tub if you don't want the full shower. It's neutral, but still nice to look at.
