lets not to kill it with too much love ... in other words.. lets not fix what might not be broken ...

and moving it for light should be fine ... unless you somehow sunburn it thru a window where ever you may be ... might want to harden it off to direct sun ...

Your jade needs some help. It definitely needs more light. It needs to grow more compact. Light coming thru the window is usually not enough. I would consider some grow lights, or it will continue growing long and skinny branches with leaves far apart. Healthy leaves could be propagated, and root easily, but every leaf could grow into new plant so think about how many jades you want, lol.

I would like to know more about the potting mix it is in; pot also needs to have drainage hole. How big is the pot? How much and how often do you water?

If you have just moved it to your south-facing window, you may have already taken the main step needed to improve this plant.

But my jade plants actually get slightly sunburnt if I suddenly move them to a south-facing window in fall or winter. They get a few blackish shriveled large patches on a few leaves if I do that.

So I've learned I should instead move my two jade plants outdoors for summer, into an east or west facing window for autumn, then south-facing window for winter. Then when the sun comes into the south facing window less and less due to summer, I move them back outside, but I try to remember to do it gradually so they won't get sunburnt patches.
