ISO 12x12 Neutral Rug

I have a large open concept family room and am looking for a 12x12 rug in a light neutral color with lots of texture. I have a hard time finding rugs this size. Where is a good place to look? Any specific rug suggestions?

    Style, material, budget?

There are many carpets which come off the bolt @ 13'. Yu might find what you want if you do what Beth H suggests. There is very little waste and you can choose the kind of binding you want.

Mashland, Stanton, Karastan are go to for me.

Otherwise, there are plenty on-line, but again it depends on your budget. Think wool to get a rich texture.

Thank you for your responses. Trying to search for a specific rug size on here has been a real hassle, as every size seems to come up despite searching for a specific size and when I click on a rug I like it only comes in 2x4 or something. I have similar problems with other websites.

I like to redecorate often, so I'm not looking to invest in wool. I would prefer a ready-made rug. Other than that I'm willing to pay what it costs for a rug I like.

I don't want to have to resort to carpet as it is typically very boring, but it looks like that may be the way I have to go.

My style is transitional. I am looking for a rug without too much color/pattern but lots of texture in a muted color. Taupe, off white, tan, etc. I have a patterned rug with blue/gray/cream in the entryway with a bold pattern and I don't want it to compete. It would be ok if it were a little larger in one dimension. It will go underneath a gray brown leather sectional.

Maybe I am just inept at using the search. The size filter seems to be working for me now. Just not seeing one I love.

Rugs Direct carries that size, most are over $3500. I’ve ordered from them more than once, have always been happy with the experience and rugs.

Many pages of this size, you can narrow it down further to colors and styles. I linked the tan/ivory ones:

a good 12x12 will cost a good bit. that's why I mentioned a carpet store. (they do have printed carpet. and they have embossed choices)

are you looking for something like this? try searching "flat weave"

that one is bynes oriental handmade flat weave

you can look through these. they have 11x11, but then it jumps to 12x15.

The rugs here on houzz seem pretty reasonable. I may just be looking for something that doesn't exist.😂. Something soft and nubbly or with a high pile without it looking like a bath mat or a bedroom rug. I am going for a comfortable, casual vibe. I love the amount of texture in the rug Beth H. shared, it's the closest thing to what I am looking for that I have seen and would probably look great. Definately one to consider.

I still haven't found one. Since some people feel like a rug is big enough if all the furniture is resting on it I tried using an 8x10 I had in another part of the house, but it looked really bad. Right now I am still using the 9x12 bound carpeting I had to start with and it's ok but a larger rug would look much nicer. I priced out textured carpeting but it really was not what I was looking for. I'll keep looking when it starts to bother me again 🙂. I will have to take my chances with something online.
