I don’t like aluminum windows generally and much prefer steel and for sure in a contemporay home . I often use commercial windows for projeacts where minimal framing is a must. If you are near the sea there is no way I would choose aluminum ever.

What area of the country are you in? Thermally Broken aluminum in a decent climate will be fine. From my understanding All-Weather is a decent product but I have had no direct experience with them or no of anyone personally who has used them as they are not a product available in my area.

We have All Weather windows in our house. They are probably original, from the 70s. Still looking beautiful and everything works. They are single pane tho and we are doing a big remodel … so they need to go … going to replace them with All Weather double pane, they also meet title 24 compliance which is great!

Are you using the 6100 series for their windows? The 5000 and 6000 series aren’t title 24 compliant.
