2" mitered edge countertops

I'm installing a new kitchen, new house. My island has no appliances in it. It will have 3 standard size drawers under the counter along with trash, 2 large drawers and a pull cabinet under the drawers. Will I have a problem if I go with a thicker, mitered edge countertop?

    No. Your edge thickness is irrelevant, unless you have framed cabinets that you want to lip over. It could be a foot thick.

    No issues but IMO it depends on the style of the kitchen when choosing counter edge and thickness.
