I purchased this one at Save a Lot, the id says Opal Star.

Fred Thank you for the link to that site. I have a cup of coffee and will be browsing! :-) From the looks of it, the first flower does seem to be "Apple Blossom" .

I'm sorry for your disappointment. If you've made it to emaryllis, you'll see that these mislabels are amazingly common and it's kind of a sore point in the fancy. I feel like I have about a 20-25% chance on anything I order that it's not going to "turn out." One year I had 50% mislabels! Three out of six were wrong; and replacement bulbs that were shipped were "just as wrong," in being exactly the same. In other words, entire shipments of what was sent from the wholesaler(s) to the retailers I bought from were incorrectly labeled. That was a bad year.

I really don't understand what the problem is with amaryllises. Tulips and daffodils don't seem to have the same level of labeling trouble. Hmm. 🧐

Good luck with your explorations. I bet you'll see some things you're going to be searching for, and that your collection might soon be growing. ;)

Thank you! Yes, I am seeing that many are mislabeled. 50% is a lot! That's sad they can be so careless!

These are the first 2 I've bought, and to get off on the wrong foot... well.. frustrating. lol. I'm not too fond of pink flowers and ended up with pink. LOL!

Well at least my paper whites are white. lol!

They will have a forever loving home regardless. It is a beautiful flower regardless of color.

Now I know what to expect down the road., and I will get more.

I am getting back into plants and cactus after many years of doing without and it's been good for the soul to say the least.

Every so often I get a cactus that is labeled wrong too. I google to learn the care of everything I have and it can get frustrating sorting it all out! lol

Yes, we can all sure use it!

Looks like I have been lucky. I ordered my Sonatinis from Brent and Becky and they came exactly as ordered. But that was only three varieties for a total of 9 bulbs. They all bloomed, too. For seeds and other nursery stock, I am pretty careful who I order from and what I buy locally. I got my tulips from them, too.
