you're showing us a tiny snippet of your furniture and want design/ color options? have you been to a carpet/flooring store? I suggest you go there first since there are literally ten thousand choices and narrow it down to a few. bring home samples.

Is wood flooring with an area rug edgy enough for you?

Not much luck so far at the carpet store, a flight of stairs also needs to be done.

Looks like two different carpets lol. Clearly from the lighting. However. I think the couch and chairs should be updated before the carpet. The first picture of the carpet seems very nice.

That’s probably the cleanest-looking carpet I’ve ever seen. Are you just tired of it or what’s the reason for replacing it? I think it looks fine, personally. You could use a coffee table, though.😉

If you plan for your carpet to last more than 1-3 years, purchase 100% Nylon, beware some stores may sway you to other products that they say perform like one... We are often replacing those 6 months to a year after it's installed. We have been doing TONS of cut/loop patterns. Many are random so it looks more like a texture when it's installed rather than a big pattern. As for cutting edge yarns and technology, no carpet is stain proof. However, Stainmaster Pet Protect cleans and performs wonderfully in our experience. For durability purchase the tightest shortest densest you can handle but still being comfortable.
