IMO no wood or cork is waterproof in a flood and no other flooring is either . I have vinyl plank over dri core the dricore is meant to have a bit of water on the basenmen flor and allows that to disapper in the case of a mild water spill or intrusion the vinyl plank is a thin material that sticks to the next plank and can be rolled up like a rug in a real flood , the sub floor dried and the planking unrolled and made to its normal job. As for ECo friendly I guess vinyl is not the best but there is ahuge issue with bamboo forests not supporting wild life already so IMO not a good choice and my experience with cork flooring was not a good one as it was damoged easily with furniture.

The cork will work for surface spills (glass of coke) but it will not survive a flood (80 gal on the floor xhours).

Bamboo is even worse. Don't be fooled by the 'waterproof claims'. They at about spills on the surface, not massive floors from spewing water/sewage.
