I've been doing other things and lost track of the alphabet. I'll start with my H's and go back to the F and G....

'Hadspen Blue' in the foreground, 'Fragrant Blue' right behind it.

I went looking for pictures of 'Hacksaw' and I came across plenty of pix of OP seedlings but had a hard time finding one of the plant itself. I've had it since 2010 and it's been a reliable performer. It's an early riser with pictures showing pips by late February and unfurling early March. It's fertile and I have used it as a pod parent with a number of crosses, the most interesting of which is what I call 'Tousled Hair' which has fused flowers.

Love 'Hands Up' for its form.

Hans, on its 4 year. I know this plant can grow well here. This was its best year. I grow it in too much sun, so the centers melt by early summer. It went dormant in August, or died. We'll see.

Halcyon is a favorite of mine too!

Hands Up - A chipmunk tunneled too close to mine and killed it so I planted another this year. I would not want to be without it.

Paula, love the dog joke. What a great dog picture. You got me at first with the math question. I talked to my daughter about it. She reminded me of the time we won a trip to the Dominican Republic from a pizza contest! I had to go down to their office and do a mathematical skill testing question---and was successful in doing it. My daughter said "how did you do the mathematical question they gave you if you can't do this simple math question?" My answer: that was about 20 years ago, and my brain isn't what it used to be!

My oh my, what beautiful hosta I am seeing! I want more hosta, and I want a lot of mine to look like yours! I am dreaming of what my hosta will look like in 2021---and I know you are too!

Poor little thing. I had this one in the ground as of 2019 but the hosta surrounding it were larger so this hosta didn't get any sun. In 2020 I moved it to a sunnier spot. I think if it makes it through the winter and is not dug up by squirrels in the spring, it may have a chance. We'll see.

Chris from Hallson's said this hosta is a very slow grower so I will be patient. I've got mine in a bit of sun, and it seems to be coming along. (UTOG, yours is quite a good size!)

In April. I enjoy seeing things up close. The pips have an interesting coloring to them. Love the pink and light green combo. And look at those fertilizer balls! Actually I think it makes the photo more interesting. I did repot later on so no fertilizer left. I suspect that there actually was no fertilizer in those balls as I purchased the hosta the previous year.

While I figured the math with no difficulty ( as babka exppained), totally off on the name guess. Remember thinking, “ well that was just too darn easy......”. Hahaha

peren, your Hanky Panky progression photos are really good...not sure mine will get to the size of yours, but I will pray that it does.

Beverly, those five Halcyon in a row in that bed really look awesome...... a great display for such a beautiful and important hosta.

mae, I love Halcyon as everyone else does, but I like the close up shot of yours which show off the subtle colors, the heart shaped leaves and the beautiful veining

newhostalady, love the pips picture......you are the one that inspired me to take pics of my pips and hosta progressions. Your Half & Half looks like my struggling one......let’s hope they take off this year!

There is an order of operations in arithmatic. Multiplication and division first, then add and subtract left to right.

I'm starting to fall behind again. Perhaps a little too much Hanky Panky going on. This one is good for a good show throughout the year, but sadly I only took pics of it on May 21 and May 31.

It always throws some really interesting leaves and eventually the margins switch as the outside becomes darker and the inside becomes lighter.

Yes, there is an order to math operands like Beverly says. Just like they taught us an acrostic for spelling (A Rat In The House May Eat The Ice Cream) - sorry. I can't help thinking we're missing something with the mental math.

Anyway, now that I'm out of school I'm a Happy Camper living Happy Dayz.

Yes, another (boring) yellow edged green Hosta that goes white (or cream) but something about this one makes it stand out to me.(from 2019)

One of the last ones I bought my first year growing here (2016) but still a favorite.

but this pic from July 22, 2019 really shows how the margins and middle switch colors.
