Are there any other doors? if not, typical barn wood door there?

another unit if needed could balance amount of structure on other side.

Beth's last photo seems a large area for included tv. What about tv on as of now, the undone side? and the kind that swivels toward the bar.

How large is the bar to be?

Yes, another unit will definetly makes it look more ''finished'' in my opinion

bar ideas.

prob do some industrial accents, shelving. (to bounce around the light you could mirror the small wall area. are those inset shelving your building? be cool to do some tile on the back panels inside those.

LED string lights under the bar top

you making your own?

lighting.

bring in some cool pendants or sconce lighting

You guys are all amazing. There is another door but it’s like a foot from the hall and the bar on The other side. we were going to do barn “doors” on the window. I’ll add photos of the rest when I get back home. Also we bought dark panels to split and use for bottom trim. I’ve been struggling with what to do with the rest of the trim. That blue is in my bedroom. I love!

Also every single person in my life has told me not to continue that wall and I just knew I should. I bought all the stuff already! I’m so glad I came here. Will get dimensions of bar

In a way, I was negative about one poor window, at night probably only, covered with wood. .... but maybe the historic taverns had that, and it's authentic [seriously idk if so].

As to your wall -- scale of entire room: how large is the room?

Ya know what -- the tv 'disappeared' on the dark wall -- maybe not so bad if it stays there... Do you have any art with similar tones of wood frames, again my question about balancing the 2 sides... would like to be there to see!

they have no vision and can't see what it will look like when it's finished

just don't do something cheesy like this console!

BTW, these tv's are hung too HIGH! don't do this

this one is cool w/the niche version

Come on over lol! The window was just for decoration. At that time I was thinking I was going with a lighter wall so may change my mind. Bar is 6 x 4. Room is maybe 20 x 15. Adding more photos but don’t judge. Just moved into the whole place. :). Getting rid of mattress.

Love the swivel TV idea

My other wall mounted TVs are 60 in the middle, so that’s good to have validated too!

Wood use making coffee table, or end table more likely? nothing wrong with that. Adding only 2 or 4 expensive handles?

Just exploring all options... ok? so do you all really like contemporary black lamps etc.. or black iron legs on tables or chairs?

but don't know why, but I wouldn't paint room dark.

Now I know what I meant: do you want all out rustic?

or some mixed in, here red and metal - grey like your shades.

Gosh one more look and I noticed wood floor only by the bar -- I bet a neat and trim wall would only be where floor is [behind the bar].... but -- it's ok that you aren't sure. Btw, you haven't seen my place. ;)

That wood is the bar top. It was a deal down from super expensive. Acacia

Oh, funny... so my little vote is to place it all across...

It’s timing we’re out down for the bar. The carpet will come up and wood flooring later but probably like a year. So are you saying to stop the wall now bc of the floor?!

*tiling we put down

I’m fine with mixed in but not sure red is my thing!

Sorry, are you saying there's tile floor currently by the bar?

If that wall would be 'heavy on the accent wall concept' - would you like an electric fp, black on the charcoal painted half? but coordinated.

No I thought you were changing your opinion on extending the wall since the floor was only at bar. I think we both were reading it differently!

Yes the floor under the bar is tile. We ripped up the carpet there

I know it all needs another color or two. I’m working on that

Idk anything about hiding cords, etc.... but would your handy person want to have that on tv wall's other adjoining room? And like the bar sticks out, but this much smaller: something permanent for fp by the door? and tv...

Yes, I was changing my direction about extending the wall.... but if the other side with tv, assuming it stays there, I thought an entertainment center, with shelving or cases could be built in...? tiny fp.

Maybe your green pillows are fine! and enough color.

I will say though that Beth's usual good, showed lotsa wood, but warming golden brown leather -- and with your nice furniture, I don't know about all that wood, adding floor too, just to talk about it.

I think some rooms are the 'man cave' like a cigar room... and dark is fine... add stone....

Myself, like that I really like a certain restaurant or two, so dark.

Lighter wood vertically, nice. Lotsa lighting.

Maybe the others want to see just the tv, but with planned sconces.. .ha they think the other side might look 'full of wood' but somehow 'empty' -- maybe I like idea for fp or sconces to 'dress it'.

is that wood look tile under the bar? what are you plans for the rest of the flooring when the carpet comes up? I wouldn't do any thing faux-wood next to that real wood.

a black slate, large format tile would look nice.

or a porcelain slate

if you don't want the dark room, go for a nice white on the walls. Ballet White, Cloud White, would all work.

Or, if you like the blues

That door though,

that acacia bar top will look great.

btw, I did a reclaimed wood herringbone on my vaulted ceiling!

We have considered swapping the wall but then his chair wouldn’t fit. I do love the camel leather. Yes probably that green will show up somewhere. Lots of family photos with complementing frames and....ahem..... some vintage favorite superheroes. That’s my compromise lol

This could be another part of dark painting plan -- with certain spots/ uses of black.

Wish we could talk sometimes easier... why mention of swapping wall, position chair?

I mentioned behind wall where you now have tv, or somehow, the stuff could be hidden, along with electric stuff for a fp.

Esp. if that wall becomes wood too, neat and trim with openings mainly for tv [maybe fp]

Grey / beiges, fine, neutral.

here's a few combos.

(not of all these items together!) these are just accessories that would look nice w/the wall and if you went w/the black slate option

I love all of these warmer leather tones, the walnut chair, greenery, the rug w/the same colors,

If you like the green option:

or the blue

Love the warmer colors and the black slate, thanks!!! Mentioned swapping the wall just because I thought someone had suggested that way up and I didn’t reply.

The greens and neutrals are so pretty. Looks like my family room, but depending on the season the color of the pillows. Sometimes eggplant

It’s not wood look tile. I was trying to go pretty neutral because I haven’t decided on the flooring. Love that slate. I take a loooooong time to think about things and make decisions. Usually ask opinions then do what I started with. Beth I was thinking bright white on the walls if I didn’t go dark. So many whites to choose from its a lot! I was creeping your profile and saw the herringbone, I love love that ceiling!

I used to think of it as peeking/ creeping, but, it's "public" !

I still don't know what post meant to swapping but I guess it doesn't matter if not happenin.

Bright white walls ;)

wha are you trying to keep your peeps awake kidding.

Only if you add a bright accent color / or a golden color. idk though.

I decided to return, and look at the wall again... :)

well, the bar of course will extend some feet into the room.

Idk if I came across -- that tv side could bump out its little depth, framed and drywalled, with whatever unit or such works.

The door I suppose could be left unaltered, except it'd be flush with wall bit above door. Paint color, if a new color, could go above door too.

Add a cute flush/ semi above the little entering spot.

What do you mean by a semi?

semi-flush mount light

Idk how deep a tv bumpout has to be....so that it's flush against its wall.
