I goofed on kitchen flooring...help please!

Need help please! I goofed on the flooring I chose for our kitchen and it really clashes with the oak cabinets we have. We are re-decorating on a budget so I'm trying to carefully choose what to live with and what absolutely needs to be changed. I'm wondering if changing the countertops (light colored solid surface) and backsplash and adding hardware to cabinets will help at all. I can't change the flooring because it runs into the dining room, foyer, and half bath $$$. Any and all ideas are welcomed.

I don’t know that it will help. It may bring your attention away from it but not for so long lol. What about sanding and staining the cabinet doors a lighter color? You can probably even diy that. ( don’t ask me how lolol!! ) the other addictions would bring the space together but I think first fix the initial problem

I think I'm stuck. The color of the cabinets will have to be addressed so no new countertops for me this year. The lighting is 4000k - just bright enough to make the clash even worse (lol).

Sorry, but it is not fine. You probably need to paint the cabinets(cream?, white?)

BTW - the new flooring looks nice!

Paint the cabinets. Use the area rugs in the meantime if you can't do it right now.

Thank you all for the suggestions. A follow up - is the general thought that the cabinets should be painted or would staining them darker work? If paint, any color suggestions? At this point, I'm not sure I trust any of my decisions anymore!!

A lot of people like using gel stain but I'm pretty crafty and find it hard to get an even finish unless the end result is supposed to be very dark.

IMO, paint is easier but still very time consuming to do it properly. If I were painting I'd pick a light warm white to go with the rest of the warm elements in your room. A color with a cool or gray undertone is not going to work well with the floors.

Personally vote stain. I think it’s hard to diy paint a cabinet. Usually looks very cheapy and arts and craftsy

To see what is best, lighter or darker, I'd paint or stain the inside of a few cabinet doors. You can then compare both to the floor to see what looks best to you.

Thank you all for your comments. While I love a lot of the kitchens I see with painted cabinets, I am always drawn to wood cabinets. So, I think we are going to tackle re-staining the cabinets. Wish me luck! Oh...and please wish me better decorating decision making skills going forward!! LOL I'll post pictures when we finish.
