Certainly Apiaceae. ( Umbeliferae) There are hundreds of similar ones.

No, I did not crush or smell anything even though it had a parsley look to it. I was worried it was another poison hemlock weed, which freaked me out when I found that in another area of my yard. I was hoping the hemlock didn't migrate so I'm glad to hear it doesn't look like that.

It was kind of cute, but I pulled it anyway.

Could it be sweet cicely (Myrrhis odorata)?

can the hemlock harm you to touch or smell it???

anyway.. one thing for sure.. if it was in the carrot family.. you would smell carrot ... e.g. queen annes lace ...

Hey Slopes - At this point I'm probably safe to ask you a question without highjacking your post, right? (I can't figure out if there's a way to directly message someone in Gardenweb.)

Are there any hosta growers up your way that you really like and trust? Or do you just order online? I haven't been everywhere in Utah Valley, but from what I've seen there doesn't seem to be any awareness of avoiding the spread of hvx. I'm not sure they'd be vetting their suppliers very closely.
