windymess, Journeys End is really outstanding! The way you have it planted under a small tree with smaller hostas around it sets it off perfectly

utog, you have challenged me to find you in the HL during my recovery, but I must have a way to communicate with you——would you allow messages? Your June Spirit looks so different in the pictures. The early season color is so soft and then it becomes so bright later on. I am admiring that.

Sunnywood- your Jewel of the Nile is intriguing. I have a plant that I got in the ground last summer, that is either JotN or Alex Summers.

You might think I would know which, but I bought them thru mail-order at the same time. They were indistinguishable for 2 years in pots. And because JotN is kind of unpredictable... I really couldn’t tell. So I kept one and gave the other away. Time will tell.

nicholsworth, I love your June. They all look so happy. Must have found the right light.

Shadow, is your June in a lot of sun? Beautiful but much lighter than mine ever gets.

This one is on the east side but with large oaks overhead. Planted one on the west last summer so will see if there is much difference in color.

Wow Diane, your June looks different with its narrow center. More like a mature Touch of Class. Except for June, my J's aren't worth posting. Here is June next to Touch of Class early season and later. Not quite mature yet.

jewel of the nile is a giant PIA because you have to dig it up and take off the yellow parts every other year or so ...

the yellow is Dee's golden jewel ... its all in the name play ..

i dont recall which came first ... but i do recall that dee is waleks wife or somesuch ...

look like dee's came first ...from hosta library dB ...

in my sand.. all you have to do is turn off the water .. and they disappear ... for the most part ...

June - got a restart last year - it doesn't seem to like so much sun. Or maybe I just preferred the look in more shade. I will be moving it next year.

I agree that one June is not enough! I have 6.

June Fever in May (the color is amazing!) My neighbor has a small front garden with one June Fever there. I can pick it out every spring because it is so bright. Note the very large hosta coming closer.

By June, June Fever is partially covered. I am considering reducing the large NOID spring 2021---maybe!

There are so many looks to June, but mae, I am with you......I tend to like the colors in shade as well. Love the blue shades.

I went back through my thousand + pictures or so and found a picture of one of my June’s from last year.love the color on this one.

Steve, I have been looking at all the pictures of June posted here and your comment seems right on. I checked the hosta library also and compared June with Touch of Class. My hosta was identified as June when I purchased many years ago. Could be a mislabel. Come spring I will take pictures of my "June" hostas in all locations and at various times spring through fall. May need to change my name tags. If mine is not June I guess I need to find one. Both are so beautiful.

Just watching as the snow falls today, big, soft flakes. Temp is 33 and everything is so white. Good moisture for the ground. Stay safe everyone.

Or it could be a brand new sport of June! That looks a lot like Touch of Class.

Laura, that JCC is delightful!

I had a JCC that wasn't growing well for me. I gave it away before I realized it was due to Maple tree roots. Darn it. Yours looks stunning.
