That was my starting point, but I have to use unstained maple. I'm currently (virtually) sifting through plumbing and electrical parts suppliers to put together something that will create a unique Frankenstein. At the wall, there will be a flange. Furthest from the wall, the mounting fixture will probably be capped by a "blind flange." If it weren't for Covid, I'd be haunting supply stores in real life!
