Hello!

I’m new to the enticing world of tree peonies and am wondering if anyone can help me find a good variety:

I‘m in Minneapolis, 4B verging on 5A. The peony would be against the south side of my house, in a spot where the neighbor’s house will shade it during the hottest part of the day.

I would like one with upright flowers, as opposed to some of the hanging ones I see in (?) Lutea hybrids.

I love red blacks, and would really like to find one with a different shades present, either because of differently colored flares or because of various petals taking on a gradient effect.

I’ve peeked around pretty carefully but it can be hard to discern color as well as cold-hardiness on the Internet. Thanks very much for any thoughts!
