That’s a simple thing to fix. It just requires unscrewing the frames, stuffing a scrap of fiberglass insulation inside, installing and caulking an outside siding patch, and doing a drywall patch inside. A handyman or carpenter should be able to easily do all this in several hours. If you want to stop heat loss between now and when the work gets done, just fill the hole with a scrap of fiberglass insulation and tape a piece of cardboard over it. Or you can use a spray can of insulating foam; it won’t look pretty, but it will do the job.
