Anyone have experience with a nugget ice maker built in (U-Line)?

I am picking an ice maker for the kitchen near the smoothie/cocktail bar. My family loves the Sonic ice so we wanted to get a nugget ice maker (they're biggest excitement). BUT, I am thinking for cocktails and water bottles, we would want bigger ice. We will have normal ice in the freezer too. Has anyone gotten the nugget ice and what did you like or not like? Does it melt faster in the machine? Is it very loud? We are looking at the U-Line 15" nugget maker. Anyone have similar experience? We are likely opting for 4 undercounted ULine products to get the $1k rebate (we have 5 total undercounter appliances for an upstairs/kitchen bar and then the game room downstairs)

I purchased the uline but we’re still in construction so haven’t used it yet!

Send it back! We recently had our uline 15" installed into our new house. Hooked up and never would even turn on let alone make ice. One of their authorized servicereps came out and said it was dead. It was an issue in the "sealed system" (apparently nmot an easy fix) and their were also several screws and bolts MISSING ( not installation screws and bolts-but inside manufacturing screws and bolts) I have not had the uline removed and purchased another brand machine. Uline has not responded other than by email. You can't get a human on the phone-nor can you even get a phone number extension for customer service. I'm not sure which is worse, the machine or customer service!

I have had one for 2 years. Works great. Nugget ice is a huge hit with friends and family that visit. It keeps up well with ice production even for big parties of 40 guests. Never ran out! The machine keeps it frozen well. Ours is always filled to the brim. I’ve never run out, even when hosting big holidays and events. Not noticeably loud. Mine is right in the kitchen by my sink. Water and drain hookups connect under the sink like the dishwashers and garbage disposal. My installers ran the thin hoses in the back through one cabinet to connect. We have a pull out trash in between our kitchen sink and ice maker and no problems with install. Have to do a clean cycle every 6 months if you want it working efficiently for years. If you register your product with Uline, they send you the cleaning kit for free. I highly recommend.

First one delivered didn’t work, after pleading with uline they replaced the unit. Our second one broke at the 3 year mark. The “certified tech” they require wanted $1000 to fix the problem and he wasn’t even sure that would fix it. The whole inside of the unit is rusted and leaking. Probably just going to replace with a different brand.
