Soon will be creating a tropical scene for my mother, and just had some questions regarding building this bed using the Persian Shield (STROBILANTHES DYERIANUS) plant. Anyone have experience with this or similar type plants and any advice as to the layout of the bed if I were to use this? Also any recommendations on complimentary plants as well for the arrangement. Looking to have a 15-20ft diameter circle using landscaping bricks 2 high and maybe stagger them up to build up a wall for the back side to use as backdrop. This bed will be standalone with no other taller structures nearby. Any info is greatly appreciated!
