roof dilemma in Florida

Our cedar shake roofs are a mess and need replacement. Dilemma is what to replace with.
Our options are a silver metal, some owners suggested the Spanish style clay barrel , and some just new cedar shakes.
The cedar shakes deteriorate quickly, we r in South Florida, i think the barrel roofs are too busy with the brick siding, i like the metal roof idea, other ideas welcome.
What would you housers suggest ?

I’m not an expert on roofs however, I have fiberglass ( I think ) shakes that have held up beautifully for past 15 + years.

Do you have an example of the silver metal roof with a similar home? Silver metal sounds like it will clash with your brick color. Whenever I think of Florida, I think of a tiled barrel roof. They are expensive but last beautifully.

I too love barrel roof tile, i think they are way too busy to use that style alongside the brick siding.
We have a neighboring development that placed silver metal roofs and did a brick treatment in white and their value has risen substantially.
Our HOA seems in agreement to upgrade .
