The space available, at the smallest is 10ft deep.

Only 1 or 2 of the listed varieties get to sizes of 6x8ish. All the others are smaller.

I think any of the colors will look "ok" and not get washed out or anything. I'd prefer to avoid: pink ruffle, southern charm, or fashion but color is barely a consideration for me. Just needs something.

I would be pleased with anything that provides color in the spring and foliage in the summer/fall.

Many evergreen azaleas aren't that inspiring out of bloom so maybe the foliage is the aspect you should focus on when making your variety selections. Especially in such as high visibility area.

I'm not going to put a lot of brain power into this except to say: with "foundation planting" of a traditional architecture house: less is more! 1 or two varieties is probably going to look better in the long run.

I think I only want 1 variety, but would need several shrubs total.

I'll most likely buy one of the Encore Azaleas, just for the potential rebloom.

Yes but I’ve never seen one very close to the house. It’s a suburban neighborhood with woods on either side so they are normally just passing through.

Depending on how the deer there react to them you could have problems with evergreen azaleas being eaten down to bare twigs during the winter. With the animals probably not coming up to your house now - as far as you have seen - because you don't have anything they are interested in planted there.

Apart from other involved variables including what the species of deer is whether or not snow is present is always a deciding factor. With - despite them being native to snow regions - the covering of vegetation by snow, other northern winter conditions producing an annual crisis for deer resulting in kinds of plants that may often be ignored the rest of the time being browsed heavily.
