My customers and contractors seem to really like it. It's not designed for construction specifically, but it's easy to customize.

Managing the project is your builder's responsibility. For the portion you need to manage--client selections--there's nothing wrong with a 3-ring binder and an old fashioned calendar.

Amy, you might not be finding a simple app because project management can be very different depending on the project and what you need to track.

Can you be more specific about what you info management to help you with? That could help us make any known recommendations.

Our builder does use software (coconstruct) but in getting our home ready for sale we have to hire a landscaper, do a bathroom renovation, complete some handyman work like fixing doors, fences and repairing drywall. Our builder doesn't do landscape lighting so we are hiring a lighting guy, a mover, a construction loan lender. It just seems like I have pockets full of business cards, random emails, a separate calendar from my husband and we're searching for and then texting each other contact names, estimates to compare bids and when they said they could do the work.

A suggestions for all of the emails, business cards etc. There are these things on almost all computers called files which can have many sub files. While labeling so that you can find what you are looking for is a learned experience those labels can be changed or even copied then items not connected to the new file deleted. Some of my files I even enter email addresses or URLs if they are not already there which with a simple click can allow access. There is probably not one app that will do what you are stating you want to do so use what you have.

@Charles Ross Homes I would also love an app for the grocery store! Everytime I go in I dream of being able to GPS where they moved the olives. Good news I found HomeZada. :)

You've got to be kidding. Ah, the good old days. No Seat Belts in cars, no ABS, avoidance sensors, Bring newborn home from hospital in lap of wife in front seat, smoking in planes and elsewhere, etc, etc!

I suspect I am older than you and also managed multi-million dollar projects involving tens of thousands of dollars - no computers, just 3X5 Cards in my pocket. Did well, would have done so much better with computer assist!

We're not talking about building the Space Shuttle and the OP's lack of software won't endanger the safety of the driving public. The OP has to organize a couple of tasks associated with the sale of her existing home. Seems we can't do anything without software these days. I wonder how so many of my retired military clients managed relocations in the double digits across multiple continents without software. Just my perspective.

I did it a dozen times or so - 24 years retired military.

To be honest, I manage a portfolio of multimillion dollar projects with excel. No fancy apps needed.

Maybe, but the idea I can know how many nails were pounded on any one of my jobs in the last hour reported on my Apple Watch is particularly compelling....not!

I get it. I’m old school too but there is something to having access to all records on the go and be able to input on my phone.

Example: I get a call that the backsplash guy has an unexpected opening and can get in earlier than I thought. That's great because we're ahead of schedule and ready for him. Did the customer want 1/2 bond or 1/3 bond on the tile layout???? I can't remember for sure and my 3x5's are back at the office. Looks like I'm dropping what I'm doing to go for a drive so I can get the correct answer and take advantage of this situation. Or I can just look on my phone....

I admit it can be tasking to have to input into the app at times, but I've found once I got used to it things got quicker. Being able to quickly search for the answers I'm looking for is SO helpful. Much faster than even looking up old emails.

Full disclosure, crusty old tradespersons are the absolute best people to hire in most situations.

It's not a construction app, just keeps me organized. I also communicate with coworkers, subs, and customers through the app.
