What a great shot of Laura Harwood. It does so well in your garden. I've always liked Little Jetsetter and now the other small flowered one Luscious Kiss is drawing my attention. All I can say is wow on that one. I'd think Nan might be interested in seeing it too. She likes a few smalls scattered around her garden. This daylily always intrigued me when I saw pictures of it even though I don't necessarily like eyed daylilies in my display. However this year I paired it with the new eyed orange daylily Jerry Murphy and they really complimented each other. Will see what happens this season:

Sherry, Luscious Kiss was a bonus for us too. We love it also.

Lahaina is an older daylily. Bob likes to get some of the historic daylilies, but I tend to go toward the newer ones.

Larry's Obsession can produce some beautiful blooms, but the plant has not done well for us.

Laurelwood's Ankle Biter is registered at 4.5 inches but it seems smaller than than in our garden.

Lava Flow was our first purchase from the Lily Auction. It's always one of the first to bloom in our garden.

I picked up Light Forbes real cheap for Bob.

Lillian's Tears and Roses is one of my favorite small tets.

I don't usually care much for polytepals but Lillian's Thin Ice as a polytepal is quite nice.

Lincoln Andres, after a slow start, is looking good.

Lipstick on My Collar has not overwhelmed us.

Love for Jesus has been used heavily in breeding.

Little Peanut is a true miniature on a vigorous plant.

Maryl - Your Linda Sierra looks great. I've bought that one twice only to have it arrive both times covered in rust right out of the box. Both times it was trashed immediately.

Nan: Larry's Obsession is looking good in your picture, but the one I like the most is Lillian's Tears and Roses. Nice color and form. I always look forward to seeing your smalls.........Debra: Good information on Linda Sierra and rust. A friend bought one after seeing mine (she actually wanted mine but I'm not ready to let her go ). I will pass on the rust issue alert. Was it from a southern source? ......Lydia's Regal Robes stands out to me. I'm liking that white pencil edging on the dark colors such as purple and red more and more. Although eyed daylilies aren't my thing for my garden, Lady Betty Fritz is a gorgeous example. Look at that edge. Gee, that's a lovely shot of it...............Maryl

Little Strawberry Shortcake has done well here. The photo doesn’t do this one justice, it glows in the garden.

Lollipop Kisses has done well here, was a bonus I probably wouldn’t have chosen, I like it.

Lovely Miss Laucious has been a bit slow to establish, but I’ve moved it twice in the three seasons I’ve had it.

Lord of Rings is another slow to establish for the same reasons as above, I’ve moved it too much.

Maryl - One of my Linda Sierras was from a Southern source, and the other was from a Northern source. None of the other daylilies I ever got from either vendor had rust, so I'm thinking Linda Sierra is particularly susceptible, especially in the fall.

Thank you so much Debra for the further information. I never buy in the fall since I had my one rust explosion so your timing of when you received the Linda Sierras makes me less nervous. I try and be sooo cautious about rust now. I always hope my precautions are enough but you know how that can go. As always, I value your honesty........Maryl

It is usually late summer/fall before rust-infected southern plants from the spring show rust. The plants may look clean, but the rust is there. One must quarantine them.

This "L " daylily was sold to me as Lady Lucille by John Lambert . It is not but it is called Lady Lucille too. I found out this info about this plant and others that are being sold in the USA.The "Miss" and "Lady" series of unregistered daylilies
are hybridized by Robert J. Roberson for Bressingham Gardens,
an English company that has an outlet in the US.For the purpose of anything to do with AHS, includingnot only shows but also registration if they are used in hybridizing
they must be designated "seedling".

Aren't there a lot of lovely L daylilies? Sherry, You Laura Harwood is beautiful and I really like Luscious Kiss. Debra, every time I see one of your lovely shots of Lady Betty Fritz, I wonder why it never did anything here. It has been gone a while, but I was pleased to get it and the reason is because of the lovely photos I had seen. Lavender stardust and Lydia's Regal Robe are also beautiful; but then all of your are. Nancy, I like the Lipstick on my Collar in your photo and Lincoln Andres is a pretty one. David, every time I see your or Debra's photo of Linda Gluck, I wonder why I never added it. I am a day late and taht is a shame because I have some L daylilies I really like.

Long Legged Lap Dancer is such a good bloomer! As it happens, it quickly looks bicolor in my garden, but the early ones don't so much.

Laura Harwood; It does well here.

David, that Linda Sierra seedling definitely deserves some more evaluation. I like the contrast of light yellow and yellow teeth on Lemon Shards. Lord of Rings always has been a weak plant here. I have previously noted the problems I had with Lady Betty Fretz. Linda Gluck, while having a fetching flower, has had low bud count here and has been slow to establish. Ledgewood's Jumpstart was disappointing here. Not to be a wet blanket, but important to share experiences.

Love Song --beautiful more pastel colorings

Lovely Senorita --very nice rich bright red this past year

Love Sculpture --so far, wish it were a bit larger

Lavender Green Eyed Lady --bit better bud count last year on this earlier one

Lovestruck Linda --I like this vigorous one.

Lost in Translation --looks promising

Linda Beck --can be gorgeous, but last year had some splotchiness and is naturally short.

Linda Sierra --very good performance here

Lava Flow --brilliant color. Never strongly budded, but a welcome early.

Lavender Stardust --good performance last year, but needs dividing. Welcome in the ML garden.

My computer is still down with all my flower pictures on it. Awaiting the manufacturer to make good on warranties. Using my old 15+ year computer. It is slower than anything. But I put the browser Slimjet on so at least my browser is fast-quite amazingly fast on an old computer!
