On my monitor it looks like your ceiling leans towards red and the flooring brown? I think black is going to be your friend. I see a black/ebony table, upholstered chairs and the other 2 pieces in black. Bring in color with accessories.

If you live in a good 2nd home market, Craigslist and Facebook Market Place are great places to look for deals.

And just a FYI- since you are on a slim budget, find your table and chairs 1st. You may find that the deal you find for the table is going to be wider than 36" so you may end up having to rethink your other pieces or at least you'll know what their sizes have to be with no wiggle room.

I think this room will be lovely with wood furniture if you brighten up the walls. The clay colored accent wall nearly matches your ceiling and floors and makes the room heavy and dark. Let the ceiling stand out without having to compete with your wall color. With wood ceilings, I like an off-white on the warmer end of the spectrum. Wall color is so important in rooms with lots of wood—you need to counteract the heaviness of the ceiling. Wood furniture will be fine as long as you incorporate other elements, like rugs and art, that aren’t in the wood/beige/blonde color family.
