I have a similar wall in my home, a bit longer though. I have a large, framed piece of art there created by a family member. It's probably 3.5' x 6.5' or so and hung about a foot above the opening.

What you have there now is too small. You'd be better off with an empty wall.

Flygirl is right - we don't have enough info! We need to understand the entire space - both from where you are taking the photo and what is underneath the wall.

And...you said the window/wall looks into the dining room - do you mean the window in the upper wall looks into the dining room???

I don't think you need anything there.

A single large scale piece of art would be my choice for this space

Leave the wall empty - change the ceiling fan to a large hanging light fixture to take up space and draw the eye.

unless it's gigantic art leave it empty your art is to small to even see

Ok... No judgement! I’m stuck in the last millennium. We are updating the upstairs so yes, that is my bed between the living room and dining room.

Your room would look best with nothing on that wall. Take down what is there now. Also remove all the decor items from the tops of your cabinets.

Keep the focus of the room lower. The room will look more balanced and comfortable.

I agree with leaving it without anything. I think it would draw less attention to the big wall. I think I also would consider a subtle shade of color instead.
