From 20G to 15G Do you know some thing I don't. I went up and now have 2, 30 gallon Fukushu kumquat trees, 4. 10 gallon Meiwa kumquat trees. and a 12 gallon New Zealand lemonade. All trees were up potted.

For a good growing citrus tree 20 gl is my preferred container, for my age, 15 gl is better. Using a little more Turface.

I think it could be done but a bit more maintenance.

Bob, you're ahead of schedule (at least mine). How much does your downsized 15G weigh? My 7 and 10G pots are a true pain to haul in for winter.

Ken, you still have to drag onto dollies, which I prefer doing. My system is pretty much mechanized. Lifting a fully wet 15 gl container is still very heavy. For me it’s still doable.

i downpotted another one today that I pruned heavily a few weeks ago. After seeing new growth on it, it’s time to downpotted it. Added a bit of transfer shock medicine and others, hopes for a strong new growth comes spring to graft new varieties comes summer.

That’s the plan.
