Is this your space ? If not then pics of your space are needed along with measurements .

This is my space. I will get measurements!

From wall to wall 249” (a little a shy of 21’)
Between door and window is 131” (a little shy if 11’)
The bed is 80” wide

I like what you have now, pretty!

IMO first you need proper bedside lighting those sconces are not possible to use for a reading light . I think what you need are 2 different sized night tables but the same style so maybe a cabinet maker . Is this honestly the only space for the bed. Maybe post a to scal eplan of the whole room with those mesurements clearly marked.

I think it’s the only space for the bed. There is a fireplace that is opposite and a radiator on the other wall. I will see if I can get a better layout photos. Thank you

An idea and drapery will help balance as well.

Your other side table is fine and you could replace sconces with larger ones that will help balance sides, given tables will be different. If you get adjustable ones, even better.

And how exactly do you know this based upon a picture where the lights aren't even on. Maybe the OP doesn't even read in bed, or maybe she uses her Kindle/Ipad/Iphone which doesn't require a light to read.

I don't see where the OP has stated that she wants to get rid of the sconces, or that she doesn't like them.

I like that idea Maureen! And maybe a round table on the right - be decidedly different and not matchy matchy with the nightstands.

Good quality swing arm sconces would be wise:

They work better for reading in bed when needed and the one on the left could swing over the table desk when needed for ‘desk’ activities at night.

That little round side table by the lounge chair might even work for the right side of the bed.

West Elm makes some lovely little side tables. We have this one:

Since you don't need to put a light on it, maybe something like this would work. Would hold your phone, a book, etc.
