Hi - you may find these white paints are too similar in Chroma (colourfulness) to work as effectively together as you might hope.

Having a minimum difference in Chroma of at least 0.2 ensures that neither white looks dingy or dirty next to the other.

These whites are so close in Chroma that you would be better choosing just one and simply alter the sheen for the trim.

Another approach, if you want the Chantilly Lace trim to contrast clearly with the wall, is to choose a white which has more Chroma and is somewhat darker than the wall.

Thank you I tried it on the wall but it was to bright for me I had heard Oxford was a softer version of it

Hi - they are both from the same Green-Yellow Hue Family neighbourhood. Whites like these, from this region are often seen by many as more neutral whites.

Oxford White is slightly darker (lower Value ) and more colourful (higher Chroma) than Chantilly Lace. In the same room I would choose one or the other but not both, just for the reason mentioned above.

Aaah, ok. Chantilly Lace us so low in Chroma it will pair with lots of whites with a Chroma of 0.47 and above. If the wall white is also slightly darker too that will help the trim appear more neutral still. It also depends which white looks best with your available light and other fixtures and fittings but these have enough difference in chroma at least.

Right now my walls are white dove and I don’t like how yellow they look against the Chantilly lace I want a creamy white but less yellow

Chantilly Lace has a Chroma of 0.27.

A minimum Chroma for a white to work alongside would be 0.47.

White Dove has a Chroma of 0.58. There aren’t many in between the two in terms of Chroma amongst those popular choices.

There is Simply White which has 0.50. So less than White Dove but is also lighter than Chantilly Lace. It depends if you like that combination? Walls lighter than trim?
