I have several very old peegee hydrangeas with thick trunks and not much else. They are not in ideal locations. What is the best way to revive them? Cut all to the ground? Is there any chance of preserving the old trunks? Should I take opportunity to move them out from the shade of encroaching conifers or just limb those up enough to give them more sun? I know pictures would help but it‘s a trek uphill in two feet of snow, so please indulge me and just share everything you know about old peegee s. Thank you!
