How do you make quartz work as a backsplash by the gas range?

We were going to do this as a backsplash but with our range we couldn’t get the clearance required for 6” above the surface with a non combustible surface. I’m hoping we missed something. How do you make this work as a backsplash behind the gas range? It’s gorgeous!

Hello There! The quartz specification related to that mainly is pertaining to a fireplace situation. On fireplace surrounds you will sometimes see the quartz yellow from heat. It's typically not an issue though. Your stovetop will be far enough away that the heat will not directly roll up on the material. Obviously, in our opinion, the best bet is to use a natural stone in this situation but you can use quartz. Let us know if you have any other questions or if we can help you with your project!
