Did you two design the house also?

As a retired architect I have to say this is much like what I would have loved to design and live in. Simple but contemporary. It looks like a modern interpretation of the local vernacular architecture. The stream and rhododendron exactly what I would desire. Kudos. (can my partner and I come to visit?)
We recently built our retirement home in Denver and are delighted with most of our choices. Mid-century ideas in a contemporary design that fits the neighborhood nicely.

greetings. i did the house design with Jay...a great collaboration with the land and the gardens as our focus. appreciate the nice words and especially coming from another architecture person. simple and clean is what i strive to guide my clients toward both visually and physically to life beyond the walls and into nature.

your retirement home...denver nc or denver co? you will need to contact jay about a tour...but he loves sharing.

Sorry. Guess every state has a 'denver'. We are in Colorado. I moved from Florida to the mountains of CO in 1982, relocated to Denver about 1985 and have been here since.

colorado is a bit more special than denver nc. get in touch with jay as he is there most weekends if you find yourself back in this area and want a tour.
