We had this new gray ivory tile installed on our fireplace and it clashes with the ivory wainscoting. Alabaster white would look better with the tile but I like the warmth of the ivory wainscoting in the dining room which is adjacent in an open floor plan formal living/dining room area. Our new carpet works well with the warm wood and warm beige wainscoting but seems dingy next to white trim. What is a good wainscoting color that would keep our hole in a transitional style and provide warmth and cohesion?
