I have only one Y hosta, You’re So Vein. It is entirely unremarkable. The veins are not nearly as prominent as the stock photo shows. I will have to dig around to see if I photographed this one at all. On a good note, I often find myself crooning Carly Simon’s song after I look at it. I guess that is enough. The name is good.

Only one for me.

Just have Yellow Polka Dot Bikini which i got in 2019. Probably wouldn't have got it but for the name and it was available at the closeout sale at Wade and Gatton. It looked ok last spring but nothing like the pictures in the Hosta Library so here's hoping this spring will be better. Peren.all yours looks great, especially if that picture was taken in the fall, my colors were all muddled by then and the plant was basically all green.

Yellow River - this one I fell in love with last summer. Nice hint of blue in the leaves.

Likewise, I only have one Y.

You can't post just one pic of Yellow Polka Dot Bikini because of the color change it goes through. Thanks to utog for showing it. I never picked one up because it looks the same as Hanky Panky to me. Anyone growing both that can enable me?

My Yesterday's Memories pales compared to the other two, it's more like Today's Memories. Although, it's starting to get there. I bought it because I thought it was the reverse of Wave Runner (a favorite - and its also a sport from the super nice Squash Casserole) but it doesn't capture the interesting shades of yellow and green that Wave Runner does. Photos taken 5/26 and 6/23.

Yippee - new last year. Another Doug Beilstein hybrid. Should be a great grower and look much better this year

Steve, you have a lot of great hostas. Many I've never seen. Thanks for sharing pictures of them. The weather channel predicts a very warm spring, but we'll see . Right now we are expecting the snow sometime later this afternoon. I don't know if your area is in the snow warning. Since we've attracted a herd of deer recently, it's better to have snow on the ground rather than have the deer pawing everything looking for food. They have even learned how to go up on their back legs and smack birdfeeders to get birdseed and peanuts. Who knew deer love peanut butter but then they seem to love just about everything.

Steve I have both Hanky Panky & YPDB. Have had HP for years and love it but only have had YPDB for 1 year. YPDB is much smaller than HP and is quite different looking in spring (somewhat cupped and twisted) then starts to look more like HP later. I think ultimately HP will stay top dog because it looks great all season but time will tell.

Steve, you are such an enabler ===>> I just fell in love with Yosemite Valley.... but I have ordered a number of yellow/chartreuse hostas already. I must resist!! :-)

steve..I didn't say it but I LOVE Yosemite Valley too..the color..the leaf shape..the ruffled edges..and it's extra large!..it's a winner..👍

Steve, what light conditions is Yosemite Valley planted in? HL database says the more sun, the more yellow it will be, but it’s not on the sun tolerant list. Yours has such beautiful coloring, I encourage you to send a photo to the HL. There are only three pictures there.

Mine is on a south east slope with a high Oak canopy overhead. It gets direct morning sun from 9:30 until noon and then very little after that. Perhaps this year I'll get some good pics of it to submit.
