I just mounted and hooked up a waterline for the new whole home humidifier. Here is my issue in the photo you will see a yellow wire linked with a brown wire attached to the C “common” terminal on the furnace, the brown wire goes directly outside to the ac unit while the yellow goes to the nest. The Y “cooling“ terminal with the blue wire goes to the nest but is not attached. I need some guidance in hooking up the two wires from the humidifier (both are yellow) to the nest. My idea was to undo the blue wire at the furnace and connect it to the humidifier directly, and then connecting the other wire to the common, however I wanted to get some advice to make sure that is a proper way to wire the systems together. (The wiring below was done by an hvac company before we purchased the home from a previous owner so I can only assume they where professionals and did it correctly.)
