don't like gray for interiors. If you want that family use black for some accents. thats my take away. w regards kitchen cabinets: if you don't want wood then painted white or wood w color or white w color. Depends on the space.

Grey is depressing. Especially up here in the north.

I don’t like light greys for a kitchen but we just put in very dark grey cabinets in our kitchen (that we plan to use for the next 30 years). We love them! Guess what else? We got raw concrete quartz from Caesarstone and we love that too! We have oak open shelving and colorful decor. Did I already say I love it? Of course they are on slab doors and I wouldn’t have this color on any other cabinet style.

There are people who go with the trend and then there are people who just genuinely love the look, and I am one of those that just loves the look. I’ll post a pic when I’m done just because I love all the hate that grey gets on here.

All of those who say no to gray walls, what is your recommended alternative?

There are billions of COLORS, from the deepest saturated jewel tones, to the lightest hint of a drop pastel “whites”. Pick one of those!

Gray kitchens are timeless. I chose gray for my kitchen after a wonderful trip to Colonial Williamsburg Virginia.

Exactly, Sara. If you like gray, then use it. I just did a master bathroom in silver tiles and a kitchen backsplash in gray ceramic.

That said, for the rest of my home, I have added blues and greens.
