it's indoors, it's next to a window. I just noticed it for the first time today. will have to check tonight and keep looking at it.

if the pots not too big.. you might also try tipping it out of the pot.. and see if you find any vermin down there ...

Do you have a cat?

i checked last night and the only thing I saw was what looked like tiny water droplets, i wiped them off. i do not have a cat, but i do have a dog. he can't reach up there though. he only pulls the lower leaves off, not where there is new growth. i do have a cover on the pot so he can't get in the dirt so i haven't really looked at the soil. i did read another post that said something in the roots might affect growth so that could be worth a shot to check.
