Trying to decide on a backsplash for our new build. We love rustic/lodge style finishes and were thinking of doing a fieldstone kitchen backsplash to match the stone on our fireplace (maybe over-grout it so its a bit lighter). Does anyone have experience with a fieldstone kitchen backsplash? We installed tumbled travertine in our first house and it was the rustic look we like but I dont love a subway tile. My husband is concerned that the fieldstone will be an absolute pain to keep clean in the kitchen, but I love the look and havent found another backsplash I like, everything seems to be a subway tile or on-trend "modern farmhouse" tiles with a pattern. Anyone have experience with the fieldstone? Pros and cons?
