Kitchen in need of update!

We bought a house built in 1990, and typical of kitchens of that time; the cupboards were a white-wash (aka pickled) finish. The room was long and narrow, and looked like an "operating" room. We added bamboo floors and walnut cupboards to warm the look.

There is so much to like about this room! The first thing I noticed was the beautiful light fixture that was repeated in another area of the home. Nicely done!!

Was the ceiling raised in the eating area as part of the renovation? Much more spacious and elegant kitchen.

The ceiling was not raised. I think the large chandelier really filled what was a big empty space. The original kitchen was so cold looking. The walnut cupboards made such a difference. Thanks....

The table looks very similar to one I have which was made by Nichols & Stone.

That's the manufacturer......it's the Antiguan. Love it!

Yep, ours is the Antiguan too (in dark stain and black paint combo). Actually my whole kitchen (which we redid too) looks very similar to yours!

Holy Kitchen Make-Over! Looks fantastic! Ridiculous question, but I just have to ask; I'm assuming that the cupboards on each side of the (what took me a sec to even figure this out) refrigerator (amazing), are the same, if so, where did the microwave go? Sorry, I'm new to this site, and these new kitchen miracles. I can't look stupid if ya can't see me, right?

Again, what a fantastic job! Oh, and I'm really happy to see the plastic covered cushions on the old dining set go away! Wink wink.
