I've done the math several ways and it still comes up $100. I have a hard time wrapping my head around it, but that is the answer. (My first thought was $200.)

The answer would be the same if the thief didn't take the $100.00 and left it in the register. It's as if he just stole $30.00 out of the register and $70.00 in food, as the storekeeper still had his $100.00 bill.

This sounds like CORE math.

the only plain green hostas I have are Royal Standard, Plantaginea and Giantland Peeps (turns yellow) and that’s it..... all the other green hostas have margins or leaf variations. :-(

I have a lot of all greens (46). They work well in the garden to calm the chaos of strong variegation collections, and as focal points themselves. Many are still small, but they are promising to be beautiful (Manhattan, Marilyn Monroe, Worldly Treasure, Jade Cascade, Chodai Ginyo, Flower Power, etc). Surprisingly, my Royal Standard may be the most commented on hosta in my garden. It was $2.

OK, I may not know what you mean by "green" Hosta. Do any of these qualify? Clockwise from top: Parisian Silk (nope), Foglight (well, its NOT yellow), Guernsey Cream (this looks green(ish) until you look at it next to green), Devon Green (this has to be green, it has green in the name), Cold Heart (this looks nothing like the other green, so nope).(and yes, I've posted this previously, but I couldn't NOT post this again).

I LOVE everyone's green hostas..big leaves, small leaves, light, medium and dark greens..I love the variety..
during the winter I really miss seeing green..

I have never been an all green hosta fan. Perhaps because those are the hostas I remember from when I was a kid. Basically Lancifolias and they were everywhere. Even today as a collector and addict, I am not fond of them. And yet, I have them all along the north side of my house. They were moved there to make room for new hostas. The north side is very shady. Not sure what else would grow well in that spot except My “snowball“ Hydrangea (that’s what we kids called it) which I think was planted when the house was built in 1935.

So you can maybe understand why I tend to like green hostas with margins or leaf color variation. That said, I see many all green hostas I like, but also like Steve, I am confused about what is green. I did not include any hostas that are chartreuse in color because I thought there is a yellow/chartreuse category coming.

Beth - I also like seeing the Tree Frogs sunning on the Hosta leaves. They seem partial to the Honeybell Hosta here (another green).

This thread has made me realize that I don't have very many green hosta. I also don't have photos of many of them. I suppose green makes me think they're rather boring. But I can see from this thread, that I am wrong! From the greens that I have, this one is my favorite:
