Janky Master Bedroom

This is our master it's a collection of random things and I'm finally ready to tackle it. I fell in love with the look of these nightstands but they are sold out. I would like some help finding something similar/unique.

My plan is new headboard, nightstands, rug, and wall decor, drapes + bedding. Paint color would remain.

Whatever I pick would need to match this tv stand being repurposed from another room in the house.

Hi Nicole, totally understand your dilemma! The TV stand is beautiful; if you're looking for nightstands similar to the sold out one you mentioned above, maybe consider refurbishing your TV stand (lighter wood for the top, sprucing up the bottom, changing the handles to gold, etc.). Something I like to do is Google the exact name of the item you want - sometimes, competing companies buy the same pieces from different manufacturers, and if one is sold out, another may still have it available.

As for the new furniture, I would first consider how you want the space to feel. It looks like you're going for a more mid-century modern approach with the nightstand, but also have something a little more traditional with the TV stand. It's okay to mix-and-match your furniture; I would just say find something that connects all of the pieces (same fixtures, same color, same wood tone, etc.). That will create a cohesive look without the feeling that you bought a complete set from one store.

Also, I would absolutely add a rug to anchor the space, and plastic covers so the wires are hidden.

    Hope this helps!

I'd go with an upholstered headboard in a neutral color--tan, stone, etc.--then find some farmhouse style painted nightstands and maybe a soft colored area rug. Here are a couple of inspo photos for you:

Planning your entire room around the tv console may be a mistake. Your current furniture looks better with the tv console than the end tables you like, since the tv console is country/rustic. Sell the console so you can get the pieces you like. Are you eliminating the long dresser? I would move your long dresser to the area under the tv. That gives you room for two nightstands with lamps on each side of the bed. I would look for nightstands with a painted finish, which won't compete with the wood on the dresser, bed, and floor. Then add a large rug, artwork to the walls, and change out your fan for a beautiful chandelier. The art, lighting, and rug are what the room really needs most.

@calidesign I'm not planning the room around it but I do want to incorporate it in the room. I planned on either using the long dresser or buying a new one it is a bit beat up maybe painting it, not 100% sure there.

The fan is staying as I need one at night and during the day for our Fl heat.

I loved the look of the nightstands but they are sold out and I can't find them so I would like to find something else. I really liked that they didn't look like a typical nightstand.

In my mind I need to decide on nightstands and a headboard, then buy art and a rug. But I haven't been able to pull the trigger on any nightstands yet.

I'd look for a deeper color of the grayed blue/green from your walls to use for the rug, and then add the same color to your bedding. I like your new upholstered bed. I think your old end table may be a better fit next to the bed.
