I don't think honey brown shutter will look good from the outside. Something darker, like black or the color of your siding would work better, but then you need to consider how they'll look from the inside. What type of look are you going for inside? Right now it's very stark black and white, and you have two different types of wood--the honey brown of the cabinets and the cool beige/white of the flooring. Before you select window treatments, you should have a plan for the entire space. You don't want to lock yourself into a look that revolves around the window treatments.

IMO window coverings are chosen after furniture is at least chosen I hate shutters they are bulky , block vies abd IMO do not belong in that house at all. Waht do you NEED from windowcoverings is always my first question. I do not see privacy as an issue but maybe , heat and UV control comes next so is that an issue ? The skylights can be a problem if heat and UV are issues too. So think about what you need first .

First thing to ask is do you need window coverings? Your site seems fairly wooded. Can the interior be seen from any vantage points? If not, then will suggest you leave without window coverings. If privacy is a concern I don't think the honey brown shutters you are thinking about will work well with your interior. So, will suggest you look for another type.

A simple roller solar shade (opacity based on function for privacy vs sun control) would be my vote. Your wall panels add a lot of visual pattern and you don’t want to add more pattern with the louvers. Drapery on the patio doors is good either way.

And the color of the shade (I think) should relate to your wall color so they don’t declare themselves as an ‘item’ in your interior.

For me, window treatments usually have two components.

One is the shade for sun/heat control, privacy and/or room darkening.

Two is a stationary or functional drapes to add texture/color/pattern to the space.

I like to use inside mounted Hunter Douglas Duette shades with bottom-up/top-down feature. Use sheer/opaque fabric for living areas depending on how much sun/heat control you need. Use room darkening fabric for bedrooms.

I always match the blinds to the white trim color, so they become part of the window unit and then your walls can be any color you like.

For sliders I used the Hunter Douglas Vertiglide, that stack to one side when fully open.

@Rory (Zone 6b) There are some close neighbors and the street out front gets light traffic. The master bedroom windows are on the front, so I'm concerned aobut privacy. After reading over the comments, I'm leaning towards roller shades.
