I think I bought Appletini but maybe not. That order was mixed up and I didn't get a couple plants. I have Lemon Snap, Lettuce Wrap, Maui Buttercups, Giantland Mouse Cheese, "Fat Cat, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Valley's Squash and a few others that turn yellow quickly after an initial flush of green.

As usual Paula, your jokes have me laughing hysterically, especially the kittens in their knitwear and the bowling executioner.......lol lol

    the Yellows here are gorgeous

shadow, all of yours are perfect!

utog unlike the blues, the yellows in your garden last all season I bet and they really stand out so beautifully

peren, the yellows you have look great and hopefully we will enable to add to your collection

hosta_maker everything you show me makes me drool and want to save room in my small yard for all of them

peren, every time I see your Lemon Lime I admire it a more and more.....is it like ground cover......? You are so brave to show your sad plants, we all have them but we hide them.....lol

nicholsworth, your Fire Islands are amazing.......wish my one looked as good......I think it needs more light....

Debra yes, Lemon Lime is considered a ground cover. It is on Don Rawson's Hosta List under ground cover Hosta. It usually gets three flushes of leaves per season as well as a great show of flowers. I originally planted 5.

Lol full disclosure! I should have added a couple of those to the worst of category. We all have plants that struggle and I think it is good to show our less than stellar plants. I am definitely being enabled! I want everything I don't have!!

Garyz6ohio, I forgot to comment your Smiling Susan is a beauty........never seen it before. I don’t recognize your handle.....if you’re new to the hosta forum, welcome. We will enable you mightily.......if you aren’t new, visit us more often. We would love to see more of your yard.

    I love the cat joke Paula---and I don't even have a cat!

    Here's a few yellows:

This is Sun Mouse, but it's not that yellow. Maybe it needs more sun?

Dancing Queen. It has a pretty name.

    Munchkin Fire

    Wiggles and Squiggles

Fairy Dust. I think this one keeps its yellow the longest.

garyz6ohio, omg, if you know Ken, you then you have been around for a looooog time........ lol

Nicholsworth, my August Moon had to be relocated because in its sunny spot it was burning. And my Fire Island is in complete shade which I think need more sun to brighten.

I forgot to post Munchkin Fire:

I must have more yellows than greens. I posted my chartreuse Hosta with the greens. I'll have to remember chartreuse goes with the yellows next year (not likely - I had other comments, but I can't even remember them now that I'm at the bottom of the thread. I don't know how Debra does it). I love seeing what hosta_maker has in the pipes, so cool. Oh, and everyone else's yellows are nice too. From the front left: Lemon Snap, Apple Candy, Appletini, Apple Candy

Newly planted Blaze of Glory in the back

Cold Heart, Dancing Queen and Faith in mid May

Dancing Queen and Faith in mid July(2019) as Faith is getting more yellow than Dancing Queen. It gets even more yellow as the season progresses.

    Checkered Cab

Curly Fries end of May in morning light
    and on August 11

Fog Light (split this year) grown in more sun

Steve, you are too funny! Since I am still sitting around healing from my hip replacement! Hahaha! Sooooo, I take copious notes so I can make comments. Won’t happen again, I only have two hips and they’re both fixed!! However, some other joint..........well that’s another matter.........lol

love your yellows——you’ the one that got me wanting more!

This is the most yellow picture I have: row of Lemon Limes on the left, Sun Power (a favorite!) on the right.

Also - the empty area was planted up by the end of the season... hope they all tolerate the sun as well as these others do.

And of course, Tickle Me Pink
