Imperfections When Seasoning a New Griddle

I did about five seasoning cycles for my new Blackstone griddle. As you can see in the pictures, the process produced a few imperfections, including a couple small areas where the top layer is chipped and some areas with some very minor rippling from the oil (I used grape seed oil).

Should I do a few more seasoning cycles or start cooking as normal? Is it possible to achieve a perfect seasoning finish?

Fry some eggs please. The egg eaters care not a whit about your pictures.

Looks like way too much oil. Seasoning can't really be scraped off. Done properly it's down in the pores of the steel more so than on top of the upper surface of the steel. On top of the upper surface it is a bit of shine but no real build up.

I find that the best seasoning is animal fat.....bacon fat works well.
To properly season a pan the fat has to polymerize....and bacon grease seems to form a hard coating faster than any vegetable oil I have found.
I use my griddle mainly for pancakes and french toast and don't season it. If it's hot enough the food won't stick.
