I am thinking of installing a kerdi 48x48” curbed shower pan. Originally I was going to go with the Tileredi pan but Kerdi seems a little more forgiving.

My question is this: am I able to install the kerdi pan as normal then use red guard on the walls? Will the kerdi band have issues adhering to it? For me it just seems a little cheaper and cleaner to not use the kerdi membrane on the walls.
