both nice. noticeable to me is the all white perimeter makes the space look a bit larger/more expansive and airy and with light streaming in windows you might really like that over time. I think I might strike a compromise and continue the white for the section under the low window, and the island and the back lower segment, right behind island , use wood. Have you chosen the wood species and stain, by the way?

Most likely maple. Have not picked stains or color yet. Want to decide on overall look first. Leaning towards this color scheme. I have light neutral floors w no hints of orange or yellow.

as far the dark.....I'd do island w lowers right behind....I would probably paint a color for the section under the window....you create a softer spot between the white and ultra dark...your space is big you can work w tones and color .....I don't see any color yet.....infuse a little...thats the perfect spot for it....then I could get excited re: dark w the white.

This picture made the white softer and the darker brown stain I’m thinking about. The counter is white quartz. Shown in third picture against the cabinet color I like. I don’t have the tools to change these color schemes right now 😬
