I would prefer to have the clock on the side table leaning. I agree with you it makes it look very small....

I might be a little old school here but I am not really seeing this blank canvas look as particularly appealing. You have the scale right which is great but this does really nothing for your room, it feels off, like someone forgot to add the color. I'm sorry, I know art is so personal but this canvas has center stage with nothing going on. The clock could go above the arm of your lamp so it doesn't look so small and isn't off by it's lonesome.
