what color should I paint the front door

I bought my dream house. Now I need to sell the farm. The door is currently cream close to but lighter than the siding. The door looks dirty no matter what because as you can see it’s a muddy mess. And we have 10 kids so things don’t stay clean. Would brown be too dark? Can I do a fun color or would it be too much?
