eed advise styling our entry console. Not sure what we are missing or have too much of here.

Clear the floor. Put the smaller vase next to the larger one on the console, and remove the pieces in the middle, leaving just the lamp on one side and the two vases on the other. If you have a different lamp you can switch this one for, that would be better. The lamp should have a more narrow base, and be less "glam" on the rustic console.

1) Move all the small items off the floor.

2 Move the smaller vase next to the larger vase.

3) Move the horse and books somewhere else.

4) Ship's wheel does not seem to fit in either.

What style do you like? Can you post a photo?

Are you trying to mix glam with rustic?

The items on the floor are a mistake, belong elsewhere. My hub took a pic while I was traveling. I totally agree with the ship’s wheel, my hubby hung it back when I wasn’t looking. I’m going for natural materials with glam. Something like Restoration Hardware? if that makes sense. These pics are from Hannah Naylor who works at RH Outlet SD. I totally love her style.

You’re right, I now see that the black shaded lamp is too similar to the large vessel. Rustic and glam together doesn’t bother me but this here isn’t working. Thanks for all the advise.

Dark mirror frame and ceiling light -- so the horse belongs imo -- and it adds your 'like' to the space, and why not!? In person, does the black shade seem shiny/ dressy? that's ok if you like it. Only thing I seem to agree on is removing all floor items, and hubby's wheel. :)

Oh, and the pottery in your initial photo is a balance with lamp, and both add texture in neutrals, and seem a blend with the 'cool' console, I think you do well. But remove the sparse grass/branch.

You did a nice job just a couple of tweaks if you want it to be a little more like your inspo

If you need light there I would do a smaller lamp with a white or off white shade.

If not something sculptural instead on the right. You could use something like the items below. The bookends are gold and There's 2. You could also do a corbel

For the.middle I would keep that light items as well. a bittim book could be dark but light above that.
